The metal casing is typically used when structures can’t be moved, like roadways or parking lots. These duct banks can be filled with sand to help stabilize it.
How to ensure proper electrical duct bank installation?
As any project, duct banks require specific installation in order to offer correct performance and durability for years to come. As mentioned above, the installation process can be tricky, and involves multiple steps to compete successfully.
To start, the trench and/or tunnel being used to install the underground duct banks need some special preparation to be able to provide the required support.
Next the conduits need to be properly aligned and joints fused together. After that has been completed reinforced concrete or steel is then placed. Once all of this is done, with no leaks of concrete, the wire cabling can be installed.
To install the wiring/cabling our team uses guide wires inside the duct bank, where we are able to pull/lay wiring inside the conduits.
