What Types of Industrial Lighting are there?
Halogen Lighting – Lights that use a very small amount of electricity but they produce a very bright light. What they do is convert the energy from the electricity and turn it into thermal energy. Halogen bulbs are great because most of their energy is used for lighting purposes so not only are they really bright but they don’t use much electricity.
They are efficient and can last 3,000 – 5,000 hours on average.
Incandescent Lighting – Have been around for more than one hundred years. This original technology has been innovated to give us compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) and the Light Emitting Diode (LED).
They are inexpensive but generally they only last 500 – 1,000 hours.
Fluorescent Lighting – When you flip the switch, they take a few moments to start emitting their full brightness. This happens because they contain a small amount of mercury vapor at very low pressure. They do offer efficiency and durability as an option.
They use less wattage that Incandescent lamps but can last up to 20X longer.
HID (High-Intensity Discharge) Lighting – Generally we only install in large area’s that require powerful efficient lights. These projects could include but may not be limited to:

LED (Light Emitting Diode) Lighting – There are a lot of reasons to like LED lighting. They are extremely energy efficient, and they last much longer than traditional lights.
But the one big reason to go with LED lights: savings. LED lights do cost more up front, but they can save you money over time because they have a much longer lifespan than other lightbulbs. To increase savings and efficiency switching and dimmable controls can be installed in 0 – 10V LED applications.
What is dimmable control for LED?
Dimmable controls for LED is a technique to dim LED lights using 0-10V dimming system. Such control systems are used in most of the commercial LED lighting products and are also known as PWM (pulse width modulation) or DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface).
Dimmable Control for LED is a system to control the brightness of the LEDs by varying the duration of power supplied to it. The brightness can be controlled by controlling the pulse width or frequency of the supply voltage.
