1991-At the age of 16, Steve Graham, now Master Electrician, Mechanical Engineer Technologistand successful entrepreneur began an incredible journey into the electrical world. Throughout high school he worked part-time and over the summers for a Commercial Electrical Contractor.
1993-After graduating Steve began his apprenticeship which normally takes 4 – 5 years.
1998 –Within four years, Steve is fully licensed as a Journeyman Electrician and continued to work for the Commercial Electrical Contractor in Brantford.
1999 – 2002 – Motivated to continue to grow and with a passion for design and automation, Steve begins his pursuit of receiving his Mechanical Engineering Technologist diploma.

2002 – 2005 – Upon graduation, Steve is hired by a global food industry leader with acommitment to have a fast-tracked career path. Working the continental shift allowed him to additionally work part time at a Tool & Die Automation Millwrighting operation.
Steve quickly realizes the day in and day out of working in a plant is not a fit for him. At the same time, the Tool & Die business is set to expand. Steve now gets tasked with full design and installation of the expansion.He is now finding his stride. After a successful expansion project is complete, yet another one presents itself.This time in the Czech Republic. Steve is leading a project of designing and building a full production line set to be installed overseas. To ensure success, not only does the project require design and build locally, but also disassembling, shippingand installing again overseas.
2005 – 2019 – A friend of Steve’s, also an electrical journeyman, reaches out and suggests a partnership in a start up Electrical business, to which Steve agrees. With formalities behind them and work lined up, they begin their new chapter.After a short period of time, they have all the work they had planned complete and are then found asking themselves “now what?”
“The first three years were tough with a young family and a new business starting from zero.”
In year four,they really start to scale having earned a great reputation locally. They begin to staff up and reached 8 journeymen outside themselves to form the team.The business continues to focus on all aspects of Industrial & Commercial Electrical across Southwestern Ontario and overseas.
“We did a job in Mongolia where we set up an analytical and metallurgical laboratory for gold and copper mines.”
They say the average partnership lasts less than five years. At almost three times the average, it was time for a change.
2019 – Today – Steve is bought out of the partnership and although this is not what he was hoping for, he is prepared for what comes next.When asked “Why start again? You ran a long successful partnership and successful business yetnow you have an opportunity to change paths. Why start another Electrical Contractor business?”The answer comes without hesitation:
“I have a very deep knowledge of the industry so I wanted to stay in it. I enjoy helping people and I have deep relationships with the customers we serve.”
Almost 30 years after initiating a career in the Electrical Industry, he is a team of one as Site Plus Electrical Solutions is born. Within 10 months Site Plus Electrical has 8 “bullet proof electricians” on the team.
In just 10 months, Steve creates what took almost 15 years to build without any of his previous employees.
